    It's hard to really get into the church fathers. The cost, size, and wordiness of the 38 volume Ante-Nicene, Nicene and Post-Nicene set deters almost all readers, and with good reason.

    St Vladimir's seminary press has made the Eastern fathers affordable in cheap but aesthetically appealing paperbacks.

    Welcome to the board, Jacob, and thanks for the link. I believe the early church fathers are important and I intend to spend time reading their works. It would be nice if I had 48 hours in a day or I was two people!
